Notes
XMLMBS-XML-20250101 (XML 7973 KB)File released on 6 December 2024, effective 1 January 2025.

Note: This file includes changes to the Extended Medicare Safety Net caps for relevant items, updates item descriptors for relevant co-dependent pathology services, the indexation of dental benefits items and other administrative changes from 1 January 2025.

Note: MBS Items 82226, 82227 and 82228 incorrectly displayed as not having an EMSN cap in the March 2024, July 2024 and November 2024 XML files. In accordance with legislation, the department has corrected these errors in the 1 January 2025 XML file by displaying ‘P’ in ‘EMSNCap’, ‘500.00’ in ‘EMSNMaximumCap’, and ‘300.00’ in ‘EMSNPercentageCap’. As part of this workaround, the department notes therefore, the 1 January 2025 XML file incorrectly displays ‘Y’ in 'EMSNChange' and ‘01.01.2025’ in ‘EMSNStartDate’ which should have instead reflected a 1 March 2024 commencement date. These fields will be updated in the next version of the XML. i.e. for 1 March 2025.
